Runtime Service

The SCADALRT Runtime Service is a windows service installed as a gateway on a SCADA server or SCADA network and synchronizes alarm changes from the SCADA application with the cloud database.

Cloud Database

The cloud database maintains the current alarms, alarm groups, system users, notification schedules, and all system settings.

Cloud Notification Engine

The cloud notification engine performs notifications to users via SMS, voice, email, or push notifications (Android and iOS supported). This notification engine can also be enabled to support cloud messaging APIs like Slack.

Web Application

The SCADALRT web app is the user interface for operators to view and acknowledge alarms, configure groups, schedules, and system settings. The web application is mobile responsive and compatible with Windows, Android, or iOS.

  • What if I go over my licensed monthly notification count? Will I stop receiving notifications?
No. If you go over the monthly notification count, the scadalrt support team will reach out and recommend upgrading your plan to accommodate your anticipated monthly notifications.
  • What makes SCADALRT configuration different than traditional alarm notification software?
Traditional alarm notification software runs on a configuration local to the SCADA machine. Modifications to contact info, schedules, or general settings must always be made on the SCADA server which can be inconvenient when adjusting schedules as needed. SCADALRT configurations reside in the cloud, allowing operations to modify any configuration, from any device, from anywhere.
  • What makes SCADALRT alarming different than traditional alarm notification software?
Traditional alarm notification software runs locally on the SCADA server and relies on a physical modem to perform the SMS or voice notifications. In general and additional subscription is paid for a phone line or SIM card for SMS modems. SCADALRT alarms are generated using it's alarm notification engine in the cloud, eliminating the need for physical modems and the headaches that come with hardware and compatibility.
  • What security does SCADALRT have to prevent users from making changes?
SCADALRT has four levels of security. When a user is first added to a system, they are View Only. An Administrator can then grant the desired permissions. Every system will have at least one user that is an Administrator.
